Lydia is doing well, all things considered. After a few hours of surgery yesterday, they were able to cut down the excessive bleeding significantly. More similar surgeries will follow, but for now the doctors are letting her little body rest. Lots of testing, monitoring and waiting right now.
I got to spend a few hours with the fam last night... Seeing Lydia like this was heartbreaking. Seeing Brandon and Anna watch their daughter like this was maybe even more heartbreaking. And then walking through the pediatric ICU and seeing so many other precious little girls and boys fill the rooms... it was overwhelming. But talking with Brandon and Anna, walking the halls praying for all these kids and families, being with this family that I love so much... I left with deeper faith in our great God.
I haven't been over there today yet, but Brandon said they were able to take the breathing tube out and there are a lot less IV's. They have even gotten to hold her today. Hundreds of people have been praying for these 3, and it is obvious. They said that there is no way their faith would have been so strong if it weren't for all the people praying. So thank you for praying the last couple days, and thank you for continuing to pray.
