Men who loved their wives until death did them part...

This past week I've had the wonderful priviledge of getting to know an amazing man.  Clarence Bass is 91 and still living life probably more fully than I ever have.  We first hit it off because he is a Wheaton grad from the class of 1949.  He is a notable theologian, teacher and author, and somehow still very humble.  Yesterday I was asking him about his wife, who passed away like 10 or 12 years ago.  He looks up and says, "My wife?  She was an angel."  And that was it.  I had to pry to get more, and he told of the first months of their relationship like they had just gotten married.  This sad and grateful twinkle was in his eye as he talked about Doris.  It encouraged me to know that it's still possible to have such a love, such a relationship and marriage...

Then my friend told me about this song/video.  And especially in light of Clarence's comments, this was just so beautiful to watch.  Enjoy.
